Could you use a little extra financial help? The Soldiers, Sailors and Marines Fund has expanded its financial assistance programs for any Connecticut veteran or surviving spouse who served during a wartime period.
You may qualify for assistance with:
- Monthly rent
- Electric and utility bills
- A free tank of heating oil
- And other financial needs
For example, veterans who served in the U.S. Army in Germany between 1961 and 1975 may be eligible. You do not need to have served in a combat zone to qualify.
To be eligible, a couple’s household income should generally not exceed $80,000 per year.
There is no cost to apply, and all inquiries are handled with the utmost confidentiality.
