EPL Celebrates Summer Reading Finale with Colonial-Themed Event

EASTFORD — It was a perfect summer Saturday on Aug. 15, as the Eastford Public Library celebrated its Colonial Days Summer Reading Finale with old-fashioned fun and games in the park. Children crafted the 19th-century Game of Graces using wooden embroidery hoops, ribbons, and dowels. They played with colonial toys and cat’s cradle, visited the park’s StoryWalk, experimented with three-legged racing, blew bubbles, enjoyed refreshing ice cream and frozen pops, and held friendly tug-of-war competitions.
