Auction Committee Seeks Assistance from Community
EASTFORD — The Eastford School Annual Goods & Services Auction is coming up on Saturday, Nov. 14, and we’re starting to collect donations for our silent and live Auctions.
For those who may not know, the auction helps fund the eighth-grade class trip to Washington, D.C. (or, when class sizes are smaller, the seventh- and eighth-grade trip together). Our goal is to raise enough money to make sure every student has the opportunity to go, regardless of their family’s ability to pay. We really don’t want any student to miss out because of the cost.
We reach out to businesses all over Connecticut and New England, but we’d especially love to support and highlight the talented people and small businesses right here in Eastford and our surrounding communities.
Do you make pottery, jewelry, art, or woodwork? Own a landscaping business, food truck, salon, or pet service? Maybe you’re a photographer, baker, personal trainer, yoga instructor, or have another service or talent that could make a great auction item.
We’d love to hear from you! Donations can be an item, a gift certificate, a service, an experience, or anything else you think people would enjoy bidding on.
If you’re interested in donating or just want to learn more, please e-mail [email protected].
Thank you to everyone who has supported this auction over the years. It really does take a community to make this happen, and we’re so grateful for ours!
