The Pastor's Pen

Timothy Howard Jr.

A simple invitation may not seem like much. It is a little like planting a seed — the act takes only a moment, but we never know what may grow from it. An invitation to church may introduce a child to the truth of God’s Word, help a teenager find lasting friendships and direction, or encourage an adult who has quietly been searching for hope.

That is why, as pastor of Eastford Baptist Church, I would like to extend a simple invitation to you and your family — come and grow with us.

Every Sunday begins with Bible studies for all ages at 9:15 a.m. These classes provide an opportunity to study the Bible carefully, ask meaningful questions, and discover how God’s Word applies to everyday life. At 10:30 a.m., we gather for worship, prayer, fellowship, and in-depth, verse-by-verse preaching from Scripture.

Also, beginning Sept. 2, we meet every Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. Our midweek gathering includes Bible study for adults, our Olympians children’s ministry (Grades 1-6), and Teen Club (Grades 7-12). Children and teenagers enjoy age-appropriate Bible lessons, games, activities, and time with friends in a safe and welcoming environment. Our goal is to help young people build a strong biblical foundation while forming healthy friendships and having fun together.

In a busy and often confusing world, individuals and families need the unchanging truth and lasting hope found in Jesus Christ. Whether you have attended church your entire life, have been away for some time, or have never entered a church before, you will be warmly welcomed at Eastford Baptist Church.

Sometimes something as simple as accepting an invitation can become the beginning of something life-changing. We invite you to come, meet us, and discover a place where your whole family can learn, belong, and grow.
