Town Seeking Municipal Agent for the Elderly

EASTFORD — The Town of Eastford is seeking an individual to serve as the Municipal Agent for the Elderly. This appointed local official assists residents age 60 and older by connecting them with available programs, benefits, services, and community resources.

Under Connecticut law, every municipality appoints at least one Municipal Agent for the Elderly. The appointment is made by the town’s chief elected official or chief executive officer for a two-year term, with the opportunity for reappointment.

We are looking for someone with general knowledge of programs and services available to older adults and individuals in need, along with a genuine desire to help others. The Municipal Agent serves as a liaison, providing information, guidance, and referrals to ensure residents can access the resources and assistance available to them.
