What's Going on at the Eastford Public Library?
As you look outside your window and see the first signs of spring, just know the library is blossoming, too. The Friends of the Eastford Public Library have received several generous donations to support the library’s continuous growth. A special thank you to Pat Morgan from the Beagary Charitable Trust. Her donation made it possible for us to purchase a laminator to protect the pages of our seasonal Story Walk from the elements.
The library has also received a generous donation to establish a Memorial Fund in honor of Anne P. Latham, pictured with this article. Latham was a long-term resident of Eastford who served on the Eastford Public Library Board of Trustees for many years. She was an avid reader and instilled the love of books to her children. During her beautiful life, Anne enjoyed gardening, cooking, hiking, traveling and devoting her time to her family and friends. She is deeply missed by all who knew her.

This year, as we focus on updating and expanding our Young Adult section, these funds will allow us to purchase more than 160 books. Our hearts are truly overflowing with gratitude. Stop in, we’d love to see you!
Library hours are Tuesdays, 11 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.; Wednesdays, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Thursdays, 11 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., and Saturdays 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. You may reach us at (860) 974-0125, or by e-mail at [email protected]. Upcoming events and programs can be seen on the town website, or on social media, or in the Calendar section of the Communicator every month.
