Calvin's Tempest

EASTFORD — In the second part of a vicious one-two punch, Blizzard Calvin rampaged through the area on Sunday, Feb. 22 and Monday, Feb. 23, leaving more than a foot of wet, heavy snow in its wake, and leading to three consecutive snow days at Eastford Elementary School. It was a massive clean-up effort after Winter Storm Benjamin had already dumped 18 inches on Eastford less than a month before. Pictured above, Liv, Anna, and Grace Moore spend some quality time outside enjoying their snow day. At left, young Charli enjoys her first snowfall.
