Food Pantry Update
The Eastford Food Pantry would like to thank the many generous people who donated food and money over the last month. With your help we were able to fill our shelves for the pantry families as well as providing them with a Thanksgiving meal box.
The Eastford Food Pantry is located at the Eastford Baptist Church, 133 Union Rd. December hours are: Monday, Dec. 1, 8-11 a.m.; Wednesday, Dec. 17, 2-4 p.m., Christmas Meal Box Distribution.
We continue to seek individuals or families who reside in Eastford and are in need of food assistance. If you are in need of food call Audrey Carabeau at (860) 933-7685 to sign up. We have the resources to help you! All referrals are kept confidential. Delivery is available to those who are homebound. All donations to the pantry can be dropped off at Bowens Garage or at the Town Office Building during regular business hours. Check donations can be mailed to- Eastford Food Pantry, 16 Westford Rd., Eastford, CT 06242. Donation suggestions: Cereal, macaroni and cheese, pasta sauce, tuna, canned fruit, canned stew, soup, healthy snacks, coffee. Thank you for your support!
Stop & Shop Community Bag Program: Stop & Shop has selected the Eastford Food Pantry to benefit from the Community Bag Program! Throughout the month of December, we will receive a $1 donation for every $2.50 reusable Community Bag purchased at Stop & Shop located at 60 Providence Turnpike, Putnam.
