Citizens of the Trimester

EASTFORD — On Thursday, June 11, Eastford Elementary School sixth-grader Owen Barlow, left, and fourth-grader Hope McGurl, were honored at a meeting of the Eastford Board of Education for being recently named the Citizens of the Trimester. The honor is given in recognition of leadership qualities, respect for others and property, encouragement and support of peers, and involvement in school activities. Their nominations were read to the board, and each was awarded a certificate.
