Budd Designated ECC Volleyball All-Star, Named to All-State Second Team

WOODSTOCK — Owen Budd, of Eastford, a junior at The Woodstock Academy, was named an Eastern Connecticut Conference All-Star in Boys’ Volleyball for the 2026 season. The Centaurs earned the top seed in the Class S State Championship Tournament, but lost to Joel Barlow in the championship match on Friday, June 12, at Newtown High School, 3-0. The Centaurs finished the season with a 24-2 record. Budd is pictured at right, with fellow Woodstock Academy ECC All-Star selections Brayden Bottone, left, and Christian Hart. Additionally, at a CT High School Coaches Association (CHSCA) banquet on Tuesday, June 16, in Plantsville, Budd was honored by being named to the Class S Boys Volleyball All-State Second Team.
