Owen King Visits Eastford for 'Author Talk' Event at Library

EASTFORD — On Saturday, April 25, Eastford Public Library hosted an “Author Talk” with writer, television and film producer Owen King. The event was filled to capacity. King, who is also the son of author Stephen King, sat down with Jody Blanchette to speak about his passion for writing screen plays, comics and books, his creative process, and how he enjoys collaborating with others on projects. He also spoke about books that inspired him growing up, read to him by his parents; his favorite landscaping job as a teen; his adoration of cats; and why he didn’t care much for Halloween as a child, and more. After a final series of rapid-fire questions by Jody, there was time for questions from the audience. He then autographed books and paused for photos, while guests were treated to a themed reception.
