From the Grove Cemetery Association Board of Trustees

• Memorial Day Weekend: American flags and Fire Department flags will be placed at eligible gravesites on Friday, May 22, at 5 p.m. The placement of any flag, including the American flag, is limited to those flags placed on the graves of military and fire department veterans by the Board of Trustees. Unauthorized flags will be removed.

• Flag Holder: If you are interested in ordering a flag holder for your veteran’s flag, call (860) 428-0280 by May 1.

• Plot/Space Purchase: Appointments can be made to view the cemetery grounds and to select a plot for purchase. Call (860) 428-0280 for more information.

• Plot Diagrams Available: Plot owners, or a family member, may obtain a diagram of their plot by writing to: EGCA Inc., P.O. Box 284, Eastford, CT 06242.

• Mowing Season is March 15 to Thanksgiving: Only live flowers may be planted, or placed in plastic pots, within 12 inches of the base of a monument; all artificial flowers and ornaments are prohibited and will be removed.
