Did You Know?
Did you know that during the horse and buggy days, when many mail trains were running, it was possible to send a letter to Hartford and get a reply the same day? The letter would leave Eastford at 4 a.m. via Putnam and the reply would come via North Windham and be delivered to Eastford at 7 p.m. the same day. Oh, for the good old days!
