EES Students Awarded AHA Certificates

EASTFORD — It is with pleasure for American Heart Association Instructor Jeannine Spink to announce that grades 6, 7, and 8 Health class students have successfully completed three months of training in the skills of CPR/Defibrillation, Heimlich Maneuver, Rescue Breathing and Basic First Aid for infants, children, and adults in accordance with the standards and guidelines established by the American Heart Association.

Beginning in January, each class met weekly during their Health class blocks until they successfully completed all the elements required and awarded a Certificate of Completion and Understanding.

Thank you to Principal Carole McCombe for allowing these students to enhance their learning process and build confidence in knowing how to recognize and render basic care until help arrives. Eastford parents need to be proud of their students as participants in Eastford’s HeartSafe Community Program.
